New Message-10/23/02:  Hi all, just a short note to say hello and let you all know I am thinking of you often.  Mike and Gayle Milko came up to Penn State a few weeks ago for the Penn State vs. Louisiana Tech game.  Of course, I was able to hook up my close Lohikan friends with some superb tickets.  Although, I have to say I was disappointed when they showed up wearing the opposing teams colors!!! But, it was still good to see them and catch up on old times.  It was hard to believe some of what he told me - especially the parts about little junior camper Cary Wagner running the place.  I can't believe how much the place has changed over the past couple of years.  I will have to make a trip up there shortly. I have been extremely busy here at the arena.  So far this season, we have had Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch, Incubus, George Strait, five shows of Sesame Street, and Korn here just to name a few.  We are also the official training camp for the Philadelphia 76ers, not to mention our own Nittany Lion and Lady Lion teams.  Coming up, we have Yes, Tool, WWE, Toby Keith, Creed, John Tesh and Aerosmith.  All of this and basketball season hasn't even started yet! I hope some other besides just Mike and Gayle will want to come out to Happy Valley for a great football weekend, or maybe a good concert.  I know where you can find some great tickets! Hope all is well with everyone else.  Stay in touch - Sue
New Message-10/23/02:  Hi all,  Joe and Joyce Malicky brought the kids up to the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State for the NCAA Tournament in March.  They brought with them a victory for the #4 Penn State Lady Lions and sent them on their way to the Sweet Sixteen.  It was great to see them again.  It had been quite some time. Hopefully, Joe and Joyce, along with Mike and Gayle Milko, will bring up a big gang for a football game in the fall.  It was amazing to see the Malicky boys.  Shane and Scott were little kids last time I saw them and Wade was only a toddler.  Now, all three of them are grown up!!!  It is things like this that make me feel old.  We have been very busy here this winter.  We kicked off Bon Jovi's Bounce tour in February.  Of course, we can't leave out the country shows.  We hosted Alan Jackson in February and Tim McGraw (and Faith Hill along with their three girls) in March.  We just finished up Linkin Park's Projekt Revolution last week.  Now, I am preparing for 50 Cent next week and Pearl Jam the week after that. Brooks & Dunn is bringing the Neon Circus with them in May.  Cher is wrapping up her farewell tour with us in June.  One concert that I am looking forward to is Journey, Styx, and REO Speedwagon later in June. Hopefully, after this I will get a break and have some time to come up and visit.  Speaking of things that make me feel old.  Blair Baumwell saw my last posting on the web site.  She is a student at Penn State.  We have been meaning to get together for lunch, but between our busy schedules, it has been difficult.  I remember being a counselor to this freckle faced little girl.  Now she is getting ready to graduate college.  Where has the time gone?!?!?!  While I was preparing for the NCAA Tournament in March, I stumbled upon another dear old friend, Denis Marks (now Denise DeHass).  It was great to hear from her as well.  She does statistics for the NCAA.  I bet she can get better tickets to our NCAA games than I can get (ha ha ha).  It was a real struggle finding tickets for the Malicky clan for a sold out event. Fortunately, I was able to pull some strings.

Matzkin, Suzanne (Camp Lohikan Camper 1990-1996 & Staff 1997): I just want to say hi and that I miss camp and my friends more than anything.  I made some my best friends at Lohikan and I will never forget my years at camp!  Suzanne would love to hear from you at .

On August 16, 2003, a mini-reunion of some Lohikan campers from the 80's and early 90's was held.   In attendance were Jeff Samson, Harris Bornstein, Devra Bornstein, Melanie Talesnick, Karen Kirchenblatt, Lauren Rook, Debbie Zeleznik, Wendy Glickman, and Rosanne (Rox) Olken.  Also pictured with the gang is, of course, Mark Buynak.  They had a great time seeing how much the facilities had changed, digging up their time capsule and even helping with the Burial of Chief Lohikan!  More photos from their reunion will be posted soon.  Hey Trish Mack, Karen DeWeese, Traci Dyer, and Jason and Marissa Bauman, were your ears burning on August 16th?!
